Child's Intro Class
This class is for new students aged 3-14. Prior to joining a group class, new students must complete an introductory class.
The purpose of the class is to prepare students for group classes. Our introductory classes offer personalized instruction with a dedicated instructor, allowing students to learn jiu-jitsu at their own pace.
During the introductory class, new students learn fundamental techniques that will be used in group classes. This class also allows our instructors to assess each child's strengths and weaknesses in order to provide individualized instruction.
After completing the first class, the instructor will determine whether the student is ready to join group classes or if they need additional one-on-one instruction.
Typically, students only need to complete one introductory class, but they may be asked to complete between 1 and 5 classes before transitioning to group classes.
Once the introductory class (or classes) is completed, students will be assigned to a group class based on their age and skill level.
Introductory classes are 50 minutes long. It is mandatory for a parent or guardian to be present throughout the entire class.
Uniform Requirements: Clothing should be suitable for athletic activities. Students are required to wear an athletic shirt or rash guard, and shorts must be fingertip length or worn with athletic tights underneath.
Registration: Open with limited availability for some age groups. Contact us TODAY to schedule your child’s first class!
